educatorsAPP

educatorsAPP is a free site that turns teacher's websites into mobile apps for any platform.  This is ideal for 21st Century Learning, Mobile Classroom, and those 1:1/BYOD districts that use mobile devices on a everyday basis.  Best of all as a teacher updates their website the mobile app gets updated automatically.

Create your own App

Justin Holladay the man behind Math File Folder Games has designed an online course for teachers who want to learn how to create their own educational apps w/out needing to know programming.  This is a fantastic inexpensive course that will guide teachers in the process of developing their apps from scratch into getting them on the App Store and being used by students in their class or around the world.

I highly recommend checking out this course entitled, Teacher Created Apps.

Super Teacher Worksheets

Super Teacher Worksheets is one of my favorite resources for educators.  This is a great place for teachers to find all sorts of resources such as: printables, worksheets, puzzles, and more.  Also, there is a innovative puzzle & math generator to create your own worksheets from scratch.  Finally, a user can also search for common core aligned worksheets and even smart board resources too.

Flowboard

Flowboard is a wonderful free iPad app for creating stunning presentations.  This is done through a very easy to use touch drag-n-drop interface for adding images, text, video, and more.  There is even a nice selection of templates for users to create stunning interactive presentations.  Best of all, a user can share their presentations via a unique URL or embed them into a site/blog.

SpellingCity

SpellingCity is a site I've mentioned before that is absolutely fantastic for all a teacher's vocabulary and spelling needs.  This is a great safe site to use for students where educators can create their own word lists and then import them into educational games to reinforce learning.  Also, SC has a free mobile iOS/Android app that integrates seamlessly w/ the website for mobile learning.

30hands

30hands is a wonderful free iOS app that is ideal for digital storytelling and mobile learning.  This is a very user friendly drag-n-drop app that allows students to create digital stories by importing photos from their iPhoto library.  Best of all, a user can add narration to a slide by recording their voice.  Finally, a finished story can then be published to their iPhoto library or shared to the 30hands Collaborative Learning Community.  There is even a very simple to follow walk-through that shows how to create your first story.

Answer Pad updates

Answer Pad one of the best educational web tools/apps for turning a classroom paperless and flipping instruction has just released a bunch of updates.  Rather then try to explain, I'll just copy/paste in the info from their email...

TAPit app update should be live by Monday. Includes an update for Answer Pad+ users: Paperless solution. When you create an answer sheet, if the teacher uploads the pdf file to the library, when assigning the test, click the Display pdf box and the pdf will be displayed on the iPad app for a paperless solution. The paper test slides in on top of the answer sheet by clicking the pdf icon. The sheet can be dragged around, altered in size, with zooming for text size etc. It's pretty cool. We have this on the browser version, but we are going to be updating the browser version to be the same as the iPad app- it's much smoother.

Also, on the teacher side, just released: Again for Answer Pad+ users: Take an image that you have uploaded in the the Go Interactive Template library, or just use one of ours- you can now add test to it  ( eg, Type in a question), or add a drawing to it before sending it out. An example of this is the coordinate grid. The teacher could take the grid, draw a shape on it, send it out and ask the students to draw the reflection. In addition you can also take an image and add an interactive response type to it. So you could take a graphic and add ABCD to it, a slider or a fill in for eg.

If you would like a brief demo on how to use Answer Pad w/ your class let me know!!!
