Loop
Loop is an interesting new student response system that I just found out about from Richard Byrne's blog. The way this works is by educators creating an online classroom and then posting questions for students to answer. Students can then respond via a emoji, words, or selecting an answer. This is a great way for educators to assess student learning and even differentiate instruction.excellent

Spiral
Spiral is a new suite of educational tools for the classroom. Below is a summary of their press release...
Quickfire is great for quizzes, class warm-ups and getting rapid responses from students. The students just need to log in on their personal devices to answer questions or use the canvas feature to annotate or draw their responses.
Discuss works well for encouraging class discussions, collaboration, and engaging the whole class. Teachers can either upload a presentation or make one from scratch before adding questions to generate relevant conversation.
Team Up is best for facilitating group work and getting students to work together. Teachers can assign students to groups, appoint a team leader, and set a problem for each group to solve. The students can then research and contribute their ideas to the team leader, who will assemble the team’s ideas in the form of a presentation. Students can go on to present their ideas on the whiteboard and critique each other’s work.
Finally, Spiral allows you to access your lesson data from your interactions which makes it much easier to carry out formative assessment and monitor student progress accurately!"

The Answer Pad
The Answer Pad the fantastically simple mobile learning tool and student response system has been busy over the summer months. Here is a list of some new functionality.
1. Integrated with Google in a couple of ways... Single sign on for teachers and students. Upgraded users can upload images to the Template Gallery from Drive and can export saved work from Portfolio to Drive.
2. Broadcast: Upgraded teachers can now select as received response from the dashboard and send it back out to the entire group, which is great for working collaboratively through multi step problems.
3. Sharing Tests - all teachers can share answer sheets to other TAP users via email.
4. We just released Live Monitor also. This is for answer sheets. Teachers assign the quiz and can monitor the results live.
Answer Pad still is a great way to turn a classroom paperless and assess students learning in real-time on a iPad/mobile device. Educators are using Answer Pad to differentiate instruction and for all subjects in any curriculum.

Apricot
Apricot is a neat new free tool for teachers that I just found out about from Free Technology 4 Teachers. The way this works is educators sign up and create a class that students join through a code (i.e ClassDojo). Once the class is created educators can then ask a question, the students respond in real-time, and then their parents get the results emailed to them. Also, parents can join the same class as their child's w/ a unique login code.

Plickers
Plickers is a new Student Response System that I just found out about from Richard Byrne's award winning blog. The way this works is students are given a unique QR code, the teacher asks the questions, and the student answers by showing the QR code to the teacher's smart phone. Simple, easy, and all the educator needs is to download the free mobile app (iOS/Android) to assess students and get instant real-time results in a bar graph.I highly recommend checking out Plickers by clicking here!!!

Answer Pad
The Answer Pad is one of the best and easy to use free Student Response/Dialogue Systems for mobile devices. It is fantastic learning tool that is being used by classrooms all around the world that allows educators to assess their students in real-time on their mobile devices. The way this works is the educator creates from scratch or uses Common Core Aligned templates to create assignments, tests, quizzes, etc and then pushes them out to their student's mobile devices. The students then complete the assignment and the teacher is able to view/assess their work. This is a great way to differentiate instruction and even flip a lesson. Also, there are other beneficial tools such as the ability to draw, annotate, create digital portfolios, important photos, and more to help save teacher's time. Answer Pad is a great way to turn the classroom paperless as all test taking/reporting can be done on a mobile device. Best of all, it is safe and CIPA/COPPA compliant where educators can create/import student accounts.

Answer Pad Digital Portfolio
Earlier this week I did a post on The Answer Pad a wonderful graphical student response system. Yesterday they just released a big update w/ their newest feature being that of the digital portfolio. This is a great way to collect and organize students work to show case for future classes, self assessment, and track students progress and growth. A educator can create a portfolio by class or student and use the auto capture feature to automatically take snap shots for their portfolio or do it manually. Other new features is the ability to tag (i.e. CC, theme, unit, etc.), flag responses to review later, and the ability to export a portfolio to PDF.

Answer Pad
Answer Pad is one of the best free (per 1 teacher - 8 groups & 200 students) tools around for mobile devices. This is a easy to use graphical student response system that helps turns a classroom paperless by allowing for all testing/assessing to be done on mobile devices. Educators use the web interface to create lessons then push them out to student devices using the free TapIt app. This allows them to guide learning, differentiate instruction, and assess students in real-time.
Also, there are lots of templates for teachers to browse through and customize to meet their needs. For example, an educator can download a template of a graph, map, clock, grid etc. and then draw/type/annotate on it to use w/ their students.

The Answer Pad
The Answer Pad is one of my favorite all-in-one mobile learning solutions for a classroom. Not only does it allow a teacher to become paperless by doing all testing/assessing on a iPad (or mobile device), it can turn a iPad into a student response clicker system. A educator can use Answer Pad in a number of different ways and push out assignments that they can grade and assess in real-time, which allows them to differentiate instruction, guide instruction, and even flip their classroom.I highly recommend checking out Answer Pad by clicking here!!!
