QikPad is a new (beta) site that I just found out about Free Technology 4 Teachers. This is a simple site to create a text document and collaborate w/ others in real time. A person names a "pad" then shares the unique URL that is generated for collaboration. Another nice feature is the ability embed the pad into a site/blog.
I recommend checking out QikPad by clicking here.

Cozimo
Cozimo is an excellent site that offers a lot of services for real time collaboration. A user can collaborate on various things such as: drawings, videos, PDF's etc. This is done in a nice online environment where a user can invite other people and then edit/review the different type of media content. Also, there are paid accounts which offer more and more features as well.

Entri
Entri is a nice free site for collaborating on a document. W/ a click of a button a user can create a document and then share it w/ others to collaborate on. Some other nice features are syncing w/ Twitter and the ability to generate an html code to embed into a site.
I highly recommend giving Entri a site by clicking here!!!

Thanks to Richard Byrne's wonderful blog for the tip!

Primary Pad
Primary Pad is a new site that is powered by Etherpad for collaborative word processing. There is nothing new here for those that are familiar w/ Ether Pad or Text Flow but it does offer some nice packages for education.

This is a free service only for the first three months. A paid subscription will allow anywhere from 8 to 96 sharing a pad collaboratively (depending on the package). Also the paid version will allow educators to create user accounts, manage pads, etc.
Give Primary Pad a try by clicking here.

Thanks to Richard Byrne's excellent blog, Free Technology 4 Teachers for the tip!!

EditGrid
EditGrid is a site for creating collaborative spreadsheets. While not as user friendly as Google Docs, Edit Grid does a good job of re-creating the Excel experience. What I really like about EG is the ability have multiple people editing the data in real-time and also supplying an embed code for displaying on a site.

Give EditGrid a try by clicking here.

TypeWith.me
TypeWith.me is a simple new site for doing real-time word processing collaboration. In a way this is very similar to how Etherpad was but there is no registration required. What I like about this site is how easy it is to use. Also, being real-time a person can chat w/ another while working on the same document.

I highly recommend giving TWM a try by clicking here.

Flockdraw
Flockdraw is a great new site for collaborative drawing projects. All a person has to do is click start drawing and then send people the URL to have others edit it. Another neat feature will be the ability embed the drawing into your site/blog.
Below is a test drawing on created, feel free to edit along...

Thinkature
Thinkature is a site for real-time collaboration that I heard about from Jennifer Dorman's blog. This is a place where educators can come to collaborate in real-time. I like to think of this as one alternative to Google Wave.
The way Thinkature works is by creating "virtual work-spaces". As quoted directly from their site, "Once inside your workspace, you can communicate by chatting, drawing, creating cards, and adding content from around the Internet."
This really is a nice looking tool that is very easy to use.

Give Thinkature a try by clicking here (as the demo page lets you try it out live).
