Little Story Creator

Little Story Creator is a wonderful new iOS app for creating digital scrapbooks or storytelling.  As w/ similar apps a user can add text, images/stickers, backgrounds, and even import video into their project.  Best of all, a user can record audio to narrate a story.  A finished project can then be shared via email or viewed on the web.  This can even be used for guided instruction or filliping a classroom.

Biteslide Student Competition

Biteslide is one of my favorite educational Web 2.0 sites for teachers/students.  This is a free site that allows teacher to manage/track students accounts and progress, no student email is needed.  What is Biteslide?  Biteslide is an innovative site for Project Based Learning that allows students to create a "slidebook" which is similar to a digital scrapbooks.  These books are interactive and allow students to upload all kinds of content (ie. text, video, images, etc).  Once these books are created they can be shared w/ others online in a safe environment.

Right now Biteslide is offering a student competition based on a favorite historical figure.  The rules are quite simple...

  • Student's create a one page slidebook
  • Enter a class or student as many times as they like
  • Download and email slides to competition@biteslide.com
  • All slides will be pinned to pinterest.com/biteslide
The winning student will receive their slidebook on a printed canvas to be displayed in class or at home.

Biteslide

Biteslide (formerly known as BeeClip) is a fantastic site for students to create digital scrapbooks or slidebooks.  These books are easy to create through a drag-n-drop interface and can include, videos, images, clipart, etc.  Also, once these books are finished they can be downloaded, shared, and even embedded into a site.  What makes this site so fantastic for educators is the educational portal that allows teachers to create student accounts w/out needing a student email address, and then ability to track students projects.  A great site for digital storytelling or creating presentations!!

BeeClip EDU

BeeClip EDU is a new "web 2.0" site I've covered in the past and am really impressed with.  This is a wonderful free site for students to create online digital scrapbooks.  These scrapbooks are simple to create w/ BC's drag-n-drop interface and beautiful in design.  A student can add anything they like to their book such as: text, images, video, etc.  Plus, students can share, collaborate, and comment on others work.  Best of all their is a educational portal which allows teachers to track their students and projects.
