Plickers

Plickers is a new Student Response System that I just found out about from Richard Byrne's award winning blog.  The way this works is students are given a unique QR code, the teacher asks the questions, and the student answers by showing the QR code to the teacher's smart phone.  Simple, easy, and all the educator needs is to download the free mobile app (iOS/Android) to assess students and get instant real-time results in a bar graph.

I highly recommend checking out Plickers by clicking here!!!

slackmath

slackmath is a cool little site I just found out about from Richard Byrne's excellent blog.  This is an innovative site where students download Algebra problems (PDF format) that has a QR code next to it.  The students then try to solve the problem and then scan the QR code to watch a video explanation of the solution.

QR Wild

QR Wild is a very cool site/network for QR Codes that I found out about from Edshelf.  On this site a user can create, play, or find rules on how to build or play a QR code game.  A very popular QR Code game is the scavenger hunt which is used all the time in education.  These games can be played out in the real world and in a school setting and is a fun and innovative way to incorporate technology into the classroom.

QR Voice

QR Voice is a neat little site that I found out about from a friend on Twitter.  This site is simple to use and ideal for generating a synthesized voice speaking text (100 characters) from a QR code.
