Flocabulary

Flocabulary is a fun Web 2.0 site for education that I've mentioned a few times on my blog.  This is a great site for introducing or reviewing a subject/concept.  The way this works is through innovative animated videos (or as Flocabulary puts it "Educational Hip-Hop"), that helps students learn through visual and auditory means.

Also, there are some great features that make Flocabulary perfect for the classroom.  For example, the lyrics of each song are displayed below the video and are interactive filled w/ words that are hot-linked to explore in more detail.  The lyrics can also be downloaded or printed out.  Best of all, are the lessons that are included w/ each video to help students reinforce their learning on each topic.

I highly recommend checking out Flocabulary by clicking here!!!

Tildee

Tildee is a wonderful site for creating a tutorial and then sharing w/ others. This is done by creating text, uploading pics or videos and then clicking on share. A unique URL is then created for these tutorials that can be shared w/ others. Also, a person can view the public tutorials of others to find self help information as well.

I highly recommend checking out Tildee by clicking here!!

Say It Visually

Say It Visually is a great site that explains how sometimes complicated things work in a simplistic way. I kind of think of this as a more visually appealing tutorial then the Common Craft videos.

I highly recommend checking out Say It Visually by clicking here.

Thanks to Free Technology 4 Teacher for the tip!!

Animated Explanations

Animated Explanations is a great site I found out about on the excellent blog, Zarco English. This is a site that looks and feels like Brain Pop but is a free tutorial site similar to Atomic Learning. Another great feature that AE has is the ability to embed their videos directly into your site/blog.

Learn That

Learn That is a site for viewing free tutorials. These tutorials are very detailed and done straight in the web page. However, you can still print, email, or share the tutorials w/ other people. While not as robust as Atomic Learning which is done in video format, it is free and a nice place to start to learn how to do things.
