AR Flashcards Shapes & Colors

AR Flashcards Shapes & Colors is the brand-new educational augmented reality iOS app from Mitchlehan Media (i.e AR Flashcards Space).  Like AR Space, all a child has to do is point the iOS device at the printed flashcard to display a 3D rendered animal holding up a shape.  A user can then take a snapshot or even hear the shape by pressing on the sound button.  This is a great way to introduce shapes & colors to toddlers and preschoolers as well as an innovative way to integrate technology & augmented reality into the classroom.

Leo's Pad: Preschool Kids Learning Series

Leo's Pad is a wonderful series of interactive iPad apps that are ideal for Preschool aged kids.  This fun app has students playing along and develop emotional and cognitive skills appropriate for their age.  The stories follow along a young Leonardo Da Vinci as he goes on adventures and playing educational games.  The best aspect of Leo's Pad is the Parent's Pad that educators/parents can use to assess their students/kids and track what they are learning.  The Parent's Pad will track how their child is learning in over 80 different learning dimensions and help educators/parents focus on areas to help their child/student become better learners.

Kids Fun

Kids Fun is a nice iOS app ($.99) for preschool aged students.  This app has over 70 activities for kids to choose from such as: coloring, puzzles, shapes, animals, and more.  I've downloaded it for my 3 yr old and he seems to really enjoy it.
