Wowzio

Wowzio is a blogger's dream as it is a site where you can create cool looking widgets. First, you have to request an invite to be able to use this product but once you are done it is very easy to use. Also, a person has a choice of many different styles of widgets such as: panoramic, live feed, slideshow, etc.

Below is an example of the life feed widget that I now have on the right side of this very blog...

Thanks to ZarcoEnglish for this excellent tool!!

Skribit

Skribit is an interesting site for creating content for people w/ writers block. Ideally this would be something posted on somebody's blog but can be used for any purpose. All a user has to do is sign-up (if you a Twitter account very simple) and then either embed a widget or tab into their site. This then creates an area for people to add suggestions on what they'd like you to write about.

I have this testing right now on my site. Feel free to test it out as I decide if I want to keep it or not.

Click here to give Skribit a try.

Revolver Maps

Revolver Maps is a great site for finding embeddable/interactive globes. This is great if a blogger/web publisher wants to show who/where their traffic is coming from.

Below is one example...

Sphere

Sphere is a new site that creates a widget that relates content to different: media, blogs, and data in a specific site/location. It might sound confusing but think of it as a gadget on your site/blog that helps improve the readers experience. This is done by something known as "contextual matching".

After reading up on Sphere and giving it a look, I've decided to trial it on this very blog hoping to enhance your experience. (click at the bottom of any post on Sphere related content) It kind of reminds me of the Crux Lux widget w/out it being automated.

I think there is some definite benefits here and hope to hear back regarding any users experience.

Blixy

Blixy is a site I learned about from Zacro English, the excellent blog from Alexandra Fransisco. This is a site for creating embeddable widgets. What makes Blixy so nice is that no account is necessary, just click on the effect you like and either email it to a friend or embed into your site/blog. Also, there are a ton of effects to choose from such as: motion clocks, scrolling text, etc.

Blixy is very easy to use and creates some fun looking graphics for users to display on their page. Give Blixy a try by clicking here.

Below is my text example...
