Flashcard Machine

Flashcard Machine is a great site for making interactive flashcards.  These flashcards can contain text and images and are great for sharing.  A user can also browse through a variety of different categories and even use one of their mobile apps for studying.

Doodlecast

Doodlecast is an app($1.99) for the iPad & iPhone that I just downloaded for the kids.  This is a great educational app that allows people to record their voice while drawing/doodling (Voicethread has something similar like that).  Where the learning goes it helps students tell a story about their drawing or select one of the writing prompts and draw using a template.  Finished movies can then be uploaded to YouTube.

Lit Charts

Lit Charts is a great site that I just found out about from Free Technology 4 Teachers.  This is a site for getting free outlines and study guides for classic literature.  A person can read a piece online, download a PDF, or view w/ an iPhone app.

ScreenTweet

ScreenTweet is a new (beta) site that I just found out about from the blog, Tech-lou-ology.  This is a great way for Twitter users to share videos, photos, screen shots, etc.  All a user has to do is sign in w/ their Twitter account and then they have ability to upload and mark up images, PDF's, and video.

Beautiful Books

Beautiful Books is a nice site for reviews of books for kids up to the age of 6.  These reviews are done on a 5 star scale and are very insightful.  Some reviews contain video, and there are tips and activities for readers as well.

Sound Jay

Sound Jay is an excellent site for finding free audio effects.  These effects are in a number of different categories such as: music tracks, transportation sounds, button sounds, etc.  The only stipulation are that these sounds can't be posted for download.

Photo Pin

Photo Pin is a site I just found out about from Larry Ferlazzo's blog.  This is a search engine for photos that is ideal for bloggers.  These photos are free to use being creative commons and offers the user different ways to obtain the photo via: download, links, or code.
