SpellingCity

SpellingCity is a wonderful site for educators for wanting to teach and strengthen student skills in Spelling and Vocabulary.  What makes this so great for education is that a teacher can browse or create their own word lists and then integrate them into educational games to engage students.  Also, through an educational portal teachers can create and track students progress as well as use their free iOS app for mobile learning.

Healthy Heroes

Healthy Heroes is a free iOS app from the creators of some of my favorite educational iOS apps, Math Dojo and Recycle Hero.  This is an app designed for younger kids to teach them the value of nutrition.  The way this works is a user selects a "Yogotar" (classic avatars from the Yogome universe) and then complete 36 levels of feeding monsters healthy foods (vegetables/fruits).  As w/ any Yogome game the graphics are outstanding and the game is very user friendly w/ high replay value.

Memofon

Memofon is a new site that is great for brainstorming and creating mindmaps.  It's a rather unique site to use as all a person has to do is type in text in an outline format and watch as the mindmap is created on the right side of the screen.  Some other nice features are the different templates/styles to choose from and the ability to add images into your mindmap.
