BlockSurvey is an excellent site for creating surveys, polls, and more. What separates BlockSurvey from other similar sites is their security and how they encrypt a user's data. That means there is no tracking, no cookies, no digital "fingerprints". Finally, a finished poll or survey can be embedded into a blog or site.
Below is a brief demo...
I highly recommend checking out BlockSurvey by clicking here!!!

Fluid Surveys
Fluid Surveys is a site I just found out about on Twitter. This is one of the most robust online poll/survey creators around w/ a very nice drag/drop interface. Also, FS has a great number of user options, such as the ability to export results (pdf, powerpoint, excel, etc) embed into a site, and create templates. This is a paid site like most survey creators are but the free version should be more then enough for most educators.

I highly recommend giving Fluid Survey a try by clicking here!!!

Top 10 Sites for Creating Surveys/Polls
According to Wikipedia, "a survey/poll is a method for collecting quantitative information about items in a population." This is a tool that I have used on many of occasions to reflect on students and teachers thoughts about a given subject. While this can be done on paper, a more convenient way is to do it online on one of the sites below...Top 10 Sites for Creating Surveys/Polls
- Strutta - Not just a site for creating polls but online contests as well. Strutta is ideal w/ it's educational instance which allows teachers to moderate all student content before being posted online.
- Runpolls - A very easy site to use w/ a drag & drop interface.
- Flisti - A simple poll creator that allows users to share w/ popular social networks.
- Obsurvey - A great site w/ a wiki-style interface that allows users to create surveys w/ different styles of questions (multiple choice, true/false, etc.).
- Survey Monkey - One of the best online sites for creating surveys. The free version offers 10 questions per survey, up to a 100 responses, and real-time results.
- Polldaddy - Similar to Survey Monkey, w/ a nice user interface.
- Vorbeo - A very easy to use site that lets users embed a poll directly into their blog/website.
- Text the Mob - A nice site to use w/ a large audience that allows people to text in their responses via a mobile device. Built-in filtering soon to come which would be ideal for schools.
- Insightify - A great collaborative website for creating online surveys.
- Yarp - A fun site to use for creating simple surveys that generates a unique URL.

Obsurvey
Obsurvey is a new (beta) site for creating online surveys. It is one of the better ones around and I would highly recommend it if it wasn't for Google Doc's, which you can do the exact same thing in. However, that being said, Obsurvey is a really nice and easy to use site which makes creating surveys/polls fun!!!

First, what separates this site from the rest is the unique "wiki" type feel to it. This makes it very easy for the average user to go ahead and get started right off the bat. Another nice feature is the ability to add a picture to your survey which I haven't seen before.
As w/ most survey creators you can generate: true/false, text, multiple-choice, etc. type questions. When you are done you can create a link to send to your users to take the survey. My one complaint is that it would be cool if you can embed your survey into your site/blog. This is one feature that makes Google Doc's such an attractive option.

All in all I think Obsurvey is a nice little site which is definitely worth a look. Give it a try by clicking here.

Yarp
Yarp, is a website that lets users create short surveys/invitations and does it very well. What makes Yarp so appealing is how easy it is to use. All you do is create your question, decide on the style of choice, and then post the link it provides.
However, one aspect of Yarp that I think is sorely lacking is the ability to embed your invitation/survey into your site. Although, you can save your "yarplets" via a browser cookie, it would be nice to "house" them yourself.
For another in depth review, I recommend checking out Larry Ferlazzo's blog.
