involve.me

involve.me is an excellent site for creating online quizzes.  What separates involve.me from other sites is the abundance of features it offers as well as how easy it is to use to create a quiz.  involve.me uses a drag-n-drop editor to create quizzes where teachers can add images or timers.  Also, a educator can select through a template or customize an already created quiz.  Finally, once the quiz is created a teacher can include comments, and the answers, so the quiz will be graded in real-time.  This is a great way for educators to assess student's learning and differentiate instruction.

Badaboom

Badaboom is a new "game based" learning tool that I just found out about from the amazing educator and friend, Naomi Harm.  Badaboom bills itself as an alternative to Kahoot, where educators can make quizzes/games and then have students answer them in a "game" setting.  These quizzes can be multiple choice, have multiple answers, and even have written or drawn responses.  As w/ Kahoot, student's can respond via their mobile devices and responses can be shared via the web up on a projector.  Finally, Badaboom makes it easy for educators to integrate "game based learning" into the classroom as well as differentiating instruction.

Below is a brief demo...

Gimlet

Gimlet is a excellent new site for creating quiz style games that I just found out about from Larry Ferlazzo's great blog.  Gimlet reminds me a lot of Kahoot where a teacher creates a quiz (or converts a Quizlet), has students join on their device via unique code and then take the quiz.  A teacher can see all student's results in real-time and then differentiate instruction.  Best of all are the detailed reports that make it easy for teachers to track a students progress and see how their whole class is doing.

QuizPedia

QuizPedia is a free new site or app (iOS/Android) for creating quizzes.  QuizPedia takes a unique spin on quiz creation making students the creator of the quiz.  This helps increase their learning knowing that their content will be viewed by others, as well as help their competency w/ technology.

However, this does not mean that teachers can't use QuizPedia, as the educational portal allows teachers to create quizzes them and share w/ students as well as track their progress and accounts.  Also, they can share their quizzes w/ other educators, copy/paste already created quizzes to save time or use as a template, and partake in the QuizPedia forum.

Quizalize

Quizalize is a fantastic learning tool for educators to create game based learning quizzes.  What separates Quizalize apart from similar sites is the detailed reports generated as well as how easy it is to differentiate instruction and see how each student or class is doing on any given topic.

Also, Quizalize features a new dashboard integrating Zzish, which allows teachers to track student progress in real-time, while generating detailed reports and seeing exactly which questions were answered correct and which ones were answered wrong w/ their "given" response.  This innovative dashboard makes it easy for educators to integrate Quizalize into their classroom and can be used for any curriculum or subject.

Finally, Quizalize allows for teachers to create "team" games where a classroom can be divided in half and students can answer questions anonymously while not having to worry about being embarrassed getting wrong answer.  This is a great way to engage students and introduce game based learning as well.
