LocPDF

LocPDF is a great visual search engine for looking for PDF's. Users of Delicious Library will feel right at home as the GUI is very similar.

I recommend checking out LocPDF for all your PDF needs.

Thanks to Larry Ferlazzo for the tip!!

BevyFind

BevyFind is a search engine I just found out about from Larry Ferlazzo's excellent blog. This is a rather unique search engine as it tries to speed up the whole searching process by embedding different searching criteria into one window.

Look below for an example of searching for the term "web 2.0" via images & Twitter...

SepiaTown

SepiaTown is a wonderful site I found out about from one of my readers. This is a site that interacts w/ Google Maps for sharing/finding historical images from around the world. Also, you can join the ST blog and interact w/ a great community of users.

Below is a result of the search on the country Amesterdam...

I highly recommend checking out SepiaTown by clicking here.

Arounder

Arounder is a site I just found out about from Richard Byrne's amazing blog, Free Technology 4 Teachers. This is a site that is very similar to ViewAt.org in where it shows amazing panoramas of images around this world. Add to the fact that it is incorporated w/ Google Maps and you have a very nice site.

Below is a pic of an image from Oslo...

I highly recommend checking out Arounder by clicking here.

MailChimp

MailChimp is a great site for turning your blog posts into newsletters. I had this idea awhile ago but never really followed through on it until I read Larry Ferlazzo's post on Nourish (which does the same thing).

I haven't really seen MC in action other then the tests I ran, but it seems to be working quite nicely. All a person has to do is sign up from the link on the upper right hand column and soon they'll be getting blog posts directly to their email.

Also, a person can sign up by clicking this link.

I recommend checking out MailChimp by clicking here.

Say It Visually

Say It Visually is a great site that explains how sometimes complicated things work in a simplistic way. I kind of think of this as a more visually appealing tutorial then the Common Craft videos.

I highly recommend checking out Say It Visually by clicking here.

Thanks to Free Technology 4 Teacher for the tip!!

JayCut

JayCut is a site that has been around for awhile that I was happily reminded about from reading Free Technology 4 Teachers. JayCut is an excellent site for creating/editing videos. Users of iMovie HD will feel right at home w/ the simple user interface. Everything from effects, to videos, to cutting video (after all it's called JayCut ;-), is all here.

Finally, when a video is done being mixed together a person can upload to the web or even download it straight to their desktop.

I highly recommend giving JayCut a try by clicking here.
