Save Edshelf

This is your last chance to help save the excellent curation site for educators, Edshelf.  People everywhere are helping donating to this wonderful cause to help Mike raise money to keep his site going.  This is the last week of the Kickstarter campaign and it would be a shame to see this beneficial site for educators go by the waist side.

Teachers With Apps

Teachers w/ Apps is a wonderful site for finding in depth reviews on educational apps.  What makes TWA so great is that it not only include images, videos, and links of the apps, but breaks down what educational skills are developed.  Also, this is a very easy site to use and a user can browse by subject, grade level, top picks and more.

I highly recommend checking out Teachers w/ Apps by clicking here!!!

Tizmos

Tizmos is an interesting site that reminds me a bit of Edshelf and 19 Pencils.  This free site allows educators to share resources such as websites and videos by turning them into interactive images (ie, Pinterest/Edshelf). These images are either linked to a video or a web page.  This makes it nice for teachers wanting to share content w/ students in a safe easy way.

I recommend checking out Tizmos by clicking here!!

Edshelf

Edshelf is one of my favorite sites to come around this year.  This is a great place for educators to find educational sites.  These sites include a brief summary as well a screen shot/video of the site in action.  Also, these sites can be organized into lists by members and even reviewed.

I highly recommend checking out Edhself by clicking here!!!

*Edshelf is a paid sponsor of Technology Tidbits.

19 Pencils

19 Pencils is a site/company that is very dear to my heart.  It's a site that I used to do social media for and one of my favorite "web 2.0" educational sites around for teachers.  This site is ideal for finding and saving educational content on the web.  Teachers can easily create web pages of educational online  content to share w/ their students.  Also, this is a fantastic site for creating assignments as well as quizzes.

I highly recommend checking out 19 Pencils by clicking here!!!

Learnist

Learnist is a new (private beta) site for pinning educational resources.  At heart this site is ideal for curating but offers more features such as collaboration and more.  It does resemble Pinterest quite a bit and allows users to "pin" videos, audio, text, images, etc to their boards.

I recommend checking out Learnist by clicking here!!

Thanks to Richard Byrne's blog for the tip.

MentorMob just got Better

MentorMob one of my favorite Ed Tech sites of the year and is well known for creating innovative playlists.  However, they just got better w/ the ability to create a test anywhere in the playlist.  These tests can be multiple choice or T/F and can be inserted anywhere in a playlist to reinforce and evaluate learning.

For more information on how to create a test in MentorMob click here!!!
