Buncee

Buncee, is one of the most versatile learning tools around for: project base learning, digital storytelling, scrapbooking, and much much more, just a new feature that makes it easy for teachers to assess student's virtual assignments and performance.  The way this is done is that an educator can now add free response questions or multiple choice questions to assess a student's learning.  Also, a teacher can generate a detailed report making it easy to differentiate instruction.

BombBomb

 BombBomb is a innovative site that lets educators send video emails to their students and parents for free.  This is ideal for teachers that are teaching remotely and simple easy to do.  BombBomb is integrated into Gmail/Chrome all a user has to do is either click record or use the video web app.  This makes it easy for educators to "flip" a lesson or record a screencast for students when they can't teach "live".

GamiLab

 GamiLab is a fantastic new site for creating educational games.  GamiLab lets teachers or students create educational games from scratch or customizing already created content.  Also, these games can contain videos, text, flashcards, etc. and can be used for Remote Learning.  Best of all, there are two "main" game styles such as King of the Mountain and Biker Race mode which is a great way to easily test student's learning.

TeachVid

  

TeachVid is an amazing online tool for learning foreign languages.  TeachVid reminds me a tad like EDpuzzle where educators use interactive videos to assess student's learning.  Also, educators can create a "virtual" classroom and create assignments that contain: videos, worksheets, etc.  Finally, TeachVid makes it easy to flip a classroom or lesson and let student's learn at their own pace.

iDialouge

 iDialouge is an excellent site for educators looking for an alternative to Zoom.  This is a great place for educators to teach remotely by creating virtual classrooms w/ built-in conferencing tools.  Also, teachers can record lectures, create lessons/quizzes/polls, and use it for "self paced learning and flipped learning".

Socrates for Remote Learning

 Many schools are now realizing they do not have the tools in place so kids can continue to learn while schools are closed.  Socrates personalized learning for the students so they are progressing automatically, and provides teachers with tools to monitor progress and assign topics.  Teachers can control the learning remotely or just allow Socrates to adjust automatically - making it a perfect tool for teachers with closed classrooms.

Fluentkey is an innovative site for teaching a foreign language by combining Game Based Learning w/ Flipped Learning.  This is done through interactive animated videos where students then play games, quizzes, or practice speaking to learn a language.  Best of all, the educational portal allows educators to track and monitor their students making it easy to assess and differentiate instruction.

Buncee for Halloween

Buncee is a fantastic and simple tool to use for education.  Educators are using it for project based learning, digital storytelling, announcements, digital cards, and much much more.  A great way to use it is for holiday projects such as Halloween.  Buncee, has lots of free resources for educators (lesson plans, i.e. ideas lab), as well as state of the art clip-art, animations, backgrounds, etc.

DOGOnews is an excellent site for creating Reading assignments for grades K-8 that can then be integrated into Google Classroom.  This is done through 1000s of curated educated articles in a wide variety of subjects (i.e. Science, History, Current Events, etc.) where educators can then select lesson plans, create assignments, and help students increase their Reading and Vocabulary skills.

TeachVid

Sites/Apps Every Teacher should try for Back to School

Regardless of if you're making a New Year's resolution to integrate new, more or better technology into your teaching in 2019, here are a few outstanding tools that almost every teacher should consider with school right around the corner:

  1. 30hands Learning - An excellent Learning Management System as well as digital storytelling app for 21st Century Learner.
  2. Answer Pad - A fantastic Student Response System that lets educators seamlessly assess students, differentiate instruction, and turn their classroom paperless.

EDpuzzle - EDpuzzle is a wonderful website that educators around the world are using to          "flip" their classroom or lesson.  This tool lets any user take a video and "make" it their own      by adding questions or voice to assess their audience's learning.  This makes it easy to                differentiate instruction.  Also, EDpuzzle has a fantastic online curriculum which makes it        easy for educators to find resources to meet their needs.
  10. Education Galaxy - A new site for grades K-6 that uses Game Based Learning to help students in a wide variety of subject.  Also, Education Galaxy is great for assessing student's needs and to help integrate Self Paced Learning.
  11. GooseChase - A wonderful new site for easily creating digital scavenger hunts for your classroom.
  12. I Know It - A fantastic site for interact Math practice for grades K-5.  Also, educators can assign lessons, assess students, and differentiate instruction.
  13. Oodlu - A innovative new app/site that lets educators create "arcade" style games for their students.
  14. Otus - A excellent all-in-one mobile learning solution for schools that combines the best features of a Learning Management System and Data Management System.

ThinkFluency - ThinkFluency is an innovative new iOS app that lets teachers easily assess        student's Reading fluency.  Best of all, the scoring is done in real-time and generates detailed    reports that can then be shared w/ others.  Finally, ThinkFluency helps create individualized      instruction plans for students, saves teacher's time, and makes assessing super-easy.
  19. TypeTastic - A excellent K-12 site for educators integrating keyboarding/typing into their curriculum.  Best of all are the wide variety of resources and ability to track students progress.
  20. YoTeach - YoTeach is one of my favorite new sites for creating a backchannel chat.  This is a great way to gauge your students and increase student participation.

A few weeks ago Buncee announced the release of their Buncee Idea Lab.  This is an excellent place for educators and students to find resources/ideas to use Buncee, such as: templates, lessons plans, book journals, and more.

Buncee 3.0 One Stop Shop for Creativity in Schools

  • Buncee Boards - This features allows users to share, collaborate, and provide feedback never seen before in Buncee.  Students can now comment and provide feedback on their peers work by adding comments or Buncee emoticons.  Also, users can share Buncee's via a unique URL and set permissions on who can view/edit their work.
