TeachVid is an amazing online tool for learning foreign languages. TeachVid reminds me a tad like EDpuzzle where educators use interactive videos to assess student's learning. Also, educators can create a "virtual" classroom and create assignments that contain: videos, worksheets, etc. Finally, TeachVid makes it easy to flip a classroom or lesson and let student's learn at their own pace.

Speechling
Speechling is a excellent free site for learning a language. The way this works is a student listens to a professional voice actor say the word or phrase and then repeats it and records themselves. Then a professional will listen to recording and provide feedback on how the word was spoken to help learn the language.Below is a brief demo...

VocApp
VocApp is a free mobile (Android/iOS) app/site that I just found out about from a promotional email, for making multimedia flashcards. This app can be used to learn any subject/topic as a user can create a flashcard containing audio, texts, images, etc. Also, VocApp has some prebuilt courses that are ideal for learning languages (i.e. Spanish). This is a great tool for self paced learning and VocApp differentiates instruction so a student will see items they are having more trouble with.I highly recommend checking out VocApp by clicking here!!!

FlashSticks
FlashSticks is an interesting new site/app for learning a foreign language. The way this works is a user prints out a color coded (blue - masculine nouns, pink - feminine nouns, green - other words) flashcard and then hovers their mobile device over it. A brief video pops up of a tutor showing how to pronounce the word. Flashsticks are ideal for learning any number of languages such as: French, English, Spanish, and more.I highly recommend checking out FlashSticks by clicking here!!!

Gus on the Go is a fantastic iOS/Android app for students wanting to learn a language. This is all done through a wide variety of games and exercises such as: matching, bubbles, horse racing and more. All in all there are over 10 fun filled activities that students can do while exploring different maps and unlocking more and more features. Taplingua
Taplingua is a free iPad app for adults for learning the Spanish language. Unlike other apps that teach you specific words by associating it w/ an object (ala flashcard style) Taplingua uses real-life situations and conversations to teach the language. The way this works is quite innovative as a user first listens to a conversation between two native speakers and then watch a video where a tutor guides a person through the conversation pointing out hints, cues, etc (Guided Learning). After that there is a pop-up note section to help strengthen and reinforce learning before taking exercise to gage one's success.
