Appshed

Appshed is a site that reminds me a lot of Conduit Mobile which is for building mobile apps (iPhone/Android) in a few steps.  All a user has to do is select a template, customize a few things, add social media, and then publish.

I recommend checking out Appshed by clicking here!!!

SlickFlick

SlickFlick is a nice free iPhoto app that is great for digital storytelling.  All a user has to do is upload their photos, put them in linear order, and then add captions.  Once the story is done it can be shared w/ others.

Yahoo App Search

Yahoo App Search is a great place to find apps for either the Android or iPhone.  A person can search through different categories or can browse by free, paid, or highest rated.

iPlan Lessons

iPlan Lessons is an iPad/iPhone app ($9.99) I just had to try out thanks to Vicki Windman's review I read on T & L.  While the price is a bit steep for an app it offers up a great solution for teachers to keep and interact w/ their lessons all in once place.  A teacher can keep track of their students, integrate their lessons w/ a calendar and add lessons w/ categories and resources.  There is even an area for reports (not sure if they are automatically generated) which is nice.

I highly recommend checking out iPlan Lessons by clicking here!!

AppAdvice - free apps

AppAdvice is a excellent site that I just found out about today through Twitter (I love my PLN!!).  This is a site dedicated to all mobile apps for Apple.  A person will find reviews, news, guides, and more on here.  Best of all I was able to find a list of free apps for today only they I think are worth mention.

There is a wonderful Red Riding Hood interactive story app for kids.  I downloaded this for my boys and they are loving it.  They can either have the story read to them or read along w/ it while interacting w/ the book.

Also, there is a nifty little note taking app (MetaNotebook) which is worth a look for taking notes and then sharing w/ others or printing.

Click here to see the complete list.

I highly recommend giving AppAdvice a look by clicking here!!!

Conduit Mobile

Conduit Mobile is a new (beta) site that allows users to create mobile apps for their blog or site w/out knowing what to do (that's me 8-). Right off the bat let me say that this is a very easy site to use that takes you step by step how to get that done and you can have an app ready to use in 5 to 10 minutes depending on what you want to accomplish.

There is a very detailed review and guide on how to create an app by clicking here. Basically all a user has to do is: create an account, enter their URL, then select what kind of data they want in their app (RSS, Twitter feed, FB, etc etc), choose a theme, add some pictures and that's really about it.

There is a wonderful visual on your app in action on a preview mobile device. What's really neat is you can select the device you want to see it on (iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.) and it shows you what it will look like.

When all is done you get a URL that you can share, a QR code that you can embed into your site, and much more.

I highly highly recommend checking out this wonderful site by clicking here!!!

To access my mobile app, please click here. You should be able to use on more formats such as the iPad, iPhone and Android soon!!!
