Brainstormer Online

 Brainstormer is an interesting new site that puts a little spin on brainstorming.  Brainstormer is easy to use and lets a user create a interactive timed brainstorming session.  Once that is done, other users/students can then vote on which brainstorm they like the best.  This is a great simple tool to use that helps increase student participation and done in a fun way.

AnswerGarden

AnswerGarden the widely popular web tool that classrooms and educators are using to ask a question and generate responses into a word cloud is now available for the iPad.  This wonderful app is great for brainstorming, creating word clouds, and to differentiate instruction to gauge student learning.  Also, it's great for group work and to assess students.

Stormboard

Stormboard is an interesting new learning tool for online brainstorming and creating mind maps.  This is done through "virtual" sticky notes where others can collaborate and publish/vote on which notes to include in their Stormboard.  Best of all, a user can export their finished board into a PDF, html file, or spreadsheet.

Answer Garden

Answer Garden is an excellent new tool for a person's website. AG is a gadget that can be embedded into a site (similar to a poll) that people can use to answer question that you create. These answers then get displayed in a visual brainstorming/tag cloud view w/ the top choices standing out as more bold and bigger font (think Wordle).

Answer Garden can be used by teachers to get feedback from students, bloggers for self analysis, etc etc.
