Bre.ad is a cool way to "toast" sites that you like in a visual way. This is done by signing up (FB account works) and then uploading a pic of any site. Once a picture is uploaded you can add text to your "billboard". Then to make the link go to the URL of the site and type in bre.ad/ before the URL and not only does it get shortened but it makes your "toast" activated. Then when your share the URL the person sees your toast which then redirects to the intended site after 5 seconds.

Linkasa is a new (beta) site that is simple to use for shortening a URL. There are lots of sites that do this but what I like about Linkasa is that it gives you stats for the compression of the URL.
