PICME is a nice free iPad app where kids "star" in their very own digital story. The way this works is by using the camera of the iPad snapping a pic of your kid, cropping it, and then dragging it onto the main stories character. Once your image is in place, it is time to interact w/ the story as a user goes through an educational adventure. A student can read along as words are highlighted, touch any object/text on screen, and even interact w/ a musical piano.
I highly recommend checking out PICME by clicking
